This is a wreath that will be extremely complimentary to your living room and add that extra bit of elegance. Yes with a little bit of careful planning, you can create a dried flower wreath which, if it isn’t an exact match of the flowers in your wallpaper, will be something that will compliment them and bring a look of elegance to your living room.

First you will want to gather some vines and trimmings and lay them out carefully in your garage or shed to dry. There’s no sense in paying for something that you can easily procure for yourself. Matching the flowers in the wall paper may not be quite as easy, so you may want to arm yourself with a bit of left over wall paper and head off to the local craft store. If you don’t find exactly what you are looking for in the dried flowers there, don’t hesitate to show your wallpaper sample to the person in charge. Once you get your materials, it’s time create.

You will want your work area to be well covered with newspapers, this is a MESSY project. Study your wallpaper sample carefully. Does it have a bunch of flowers that consist of two pink flowers and one blue? Form the vines and the flowers into a bundle, then wire the bundle to the wreath base. Then study the wall paper again. Keep repeating this pattern until your wreath base is covered, cover the stems of the last bundle with the first bundle and there you are. read also Craft Ideas For Lovely Grandparents

21 Jul 2009 Craft Ideas For Lovely Grandparents

Crafts are a wonderful way to say “I Love You” to the special grandparents in your child’s life, and the grandparents will surely appreciate the consideration shown by their grandchildren, crafts are typically a special way for children to celebrate the holiday. Different craft ideas that are used on other holidays can also be adapted for Grandparents Day.

Crafts can be simple or complex. One of the easiest crafts to create is a greeting card. A child can draw his or her own picture and use personal creativity to make a card that speaks from the heart. A card created by hand will please any grandparent more than a store-bought card ever could because whatever the card shows or says is guaranteed to come from the heart.

Many online resources offer black and white posters that can be printed out for coloring. If you start early, you can help your child create a collage with pictures and magazine cutouts that show the child’s feelings for his or her grandparents. Or, you can help your child pick flowers and dry them, then glue them to a piece of construction paper on which he or she can express their love for grandparents.

Knowing in advance that you’ll want to make a scrapbook of your child’s party, you can save items such as the guest list, the invitations and any greeting cards the child gets in the mail. Consider taking a photo of each guest as they arrive. This photo can be with or without your own birthday child. If you are not using a digital camera, consider having 3 sets of photos printed.

When it’s time to open presents, in addition to taking photos, save the cards that come with the gifts. These make wonderful additions the scrapbook. Often, at younger ages, children make their own cards, and they are truly too precious to throw out. Add them to your birthday scrapbook.

If you’ve ordered a cake, or even if you’ve baked a cake, take a photo before the candles are added. If you’ve used a family recipe to bake the cake, make a copy of the recipe to include in the scrapbook alongside the picture of the cake.

Does the party have a theme? If you are purchasing stickers to give away in goodie bags, purchase an additional set of stickers (of course acid free and lignin free) to add to your scrapbook pages.

If the child’s grandparents are at the party, make sure to take photos of the child with the grandparents. Mini albums for relatives who do or do not attend make wonderful gifts. I love when I get photos of my niece. It’s so neat to keep up with her parties and other activities through photos.
